The San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District staff consists of certified vector control technicians and other professionals who are dedicated to safeguarding the health and comfort of the residents of San Mateo County through a science-based program of integrated vector management.

Staff attended annual MVCAC conference to earn continuing education units

Our staff maintain Vector Control Technician certifications from the California Department of Public Health. The certification requires that our staff receive continuing education in several topic areas. In January, several staff attended the annual Mosquito and Vector Control Association of California conference to earn credits. Some staff also presented findings from work within San Mateo County.
