Paul took great pride in properly and respectfully displaying the flag at our facilities.

Facilities Management Technician Paul recently retired after working at the District in various roles since 2010.  Paul initially joined our District as a seasonal catch basin driver (learn more about the seasonal program) and then transitioned to the facilities position. Prior to coming to the District, Paul worked for the City of Millbrae in Landscape Maintenance and as a Plant Mechanic in Water Pollution Control. Paul was a core member of the District's Safety Committee, helping to ensure employee and public safety both on and off District property.  He helped start and/or advance several key facilities projects during his tenure, including the installation of solar panels on District buildings, the replacement of our flag pole (and addition of a light for flag display), and important aspects of our purchase and plans to renovate a new District property.  Paul was known for being particularly handy with a label maker and will be enjoying retirement while spending some time RVing with his wife and visiting with his grandkids.  Happy retirement, Paul!

As weather changes, keep your home safe from rats and mice

As the weather cools, people sometimes report more rodent activity in/around their homes.  It's a good time to check around your home for gaps, holes, and cracks where rats and mice can enter. Not sure what to look for?  We're experts - give us a call to request a rodent inspection. Or request a visit using our online service request form.

Our technicians can visit to inspect the outside of your home for places where rodents can enter.  You'll get a detailed report of suggested repairs as well as tips on the kind of materials to use and how to best do the repairs.

Our staff do not trap rodents or seal/fix holes, but we can re-inspect after you DIY or hire a company to do the repairs.
